@sos I would choose Defender oft the Crown, Moonstone, Pirates! or Populous. Maybe it's sentiment, but those are the games I would load first in DOSBox/Amiga.

@sos I've not played it myself, but "Master of Magic" is considered a classic. I was going to suggest "Sid Meier's Gettysburg!", but checking I see that it was a Windows release, not DOS. From the Amiga, "Battle Isle" and "Carrier Command" might still work, as might "Nuclear War."

@sos The first four Settlers (aka: Die Siedler) games are still better than any that came since. PowerMonger would be amazing if the resolution would scale (so I guess in that context didn't age as well). It's my #1 wish for a remake.
