@joost Congratulations! Normally, my hope would be that this type of legislature would spread to the United States. With our current administration, I have no hope of that. That doesn't mean I'm bitter against anybody who is able to make use of this landmark decision! I wish you the best!

@joost ... Amd then 4 years later they declare all those passports invalid like in the US? Not good enough. Delete the category, gender does not belong on ID documents.

@joost the interesting thing is that in the previous case (Hungary) - the court based their decision on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the right to control one’s data.

@joost No this doesn't mean what you think. This means that if I a hungarian move to a country that allows changeing my gender marker than they have to change my hungarian one too. What this does not mean is that anyone from any country can. Countries still decide for their citizens who live in their borders. Very big difference as I still cant change my gender marker with this...
