The DOJ -- again, before Trump, not under him -- was famous for not bringing charges against defendants unless there was overwhelming proof of guilt and near-certainty that a jury would convict.
Biden's DOJ did not "go after" Trump, and it wasn't Biden's -- DOJ has always been independent, until Trump.
DOJ prosecutors brought charges against Trump after they amassed overwhelming proof of his guilt. He had illegally retained documents all over Mar-a-lago, denied he had them, and the FBI found them.
That's not "going after" someone, it's investigating a criminal and bringing charges when they're obviously guilty.

@taoish @gleick Yes, I remember when the DoJ (under Obama), famously chose to not bring charges against his former secretary of state, despite her keeping a private email server at her house to do government business on without the prying eyes of congress' oversight committee. I also remember the 'independent' FBI famously not raiding her house to get said server.
