I have switched over to using https://silverbullet.md/ for my note taking. Paired with syncthing i think it will be a worthy replacement for https://hedgedoc.org/

I'm not trying throw shade towards Hedgedocs, it was great, but more than i needed and I like flat file structures over DBs for this.
