The amount of work that some distros put into their installers release after release is always amusing to me, almost like an expected use case of #linux is that people will be installing from scratch frequently.

@mrysav I mean to be fair: 1. When you can't reliably go into a shop to buy a computer with your distro on it, the installer is *how* people do get the distro at all. 2. One of the biggest complaints of people switching to Linux is the installers not walking them through things enough. 3. Sometimes when upgrading from a major release to a new major release, the best way, and sometimes the recommended way to upgrade is a fresh install. Then I get why they put this work in.
