I was in a similar boat for the first few years out of college. Like, totally fine score, couldn’t even get a PayPal credit for under $1000 for some reason.
When I met my wife and we secured a credit union mortgage, everyone just started throwing credit at me. My score is sky high, so every account keeps raising my limit, which raises my score, etc. it’s all a bunch of bullshit.

The only crazy thing I noticed after getting married was how people speak to me when I wear the ring vs when I don’t. I still wear the ring even tho I am no longer married just because people are often friendlier when they see it.
