This latter part was rather fucked. It took a couple hours. You have to figure out which of their repositories it's in and then which branch as well. Fun times. Found that the name is "script.module.pyserial" and this worked. Install my little service addon and my derpclock lights start working. Do a reboot--still work :) I actually went through the massive trouble of signing onto their support forums to just end up finally figuring it out. I'll of course never remember the password.
