Been thinking about echoes of culture that outlive the source. For example, things your parents heard from their grandparents that they never told you about. Today, we see not a fresh and new 2026, but layers of culture added over the old. Obviously, the cultures and practices of the 1950s are still present today, because people who lived through those times are still alive. More interestingly, there are still traces of the 1900s, because people who were alive then influenced people who are still here. This is unfortunately true with politicians.
