That third doesn’t trust the same news sources that you do; many don’t do anything political at all, and just vote by party. The other third is politically educated, they just disagree with the Democratic party on key issues (like for one example abortion). Democrats are only a third (28% or so) of voters and shrinking (same with Republican party, 28%). 44% of voters are independent. I know it doesn’t seem so on Lemmy, but the real world is a very different place. Why, they didn’t even cheer when Charlie Kirk was assassinated! Unbelievable!
