@auscandoc@universeodon.com @hswapnil@med-mastodon.com @ChristosArgyrop@med-mastodon.com This is indeed one of my accounts, my primary account is over at @wild1145@mastodonapp.uk but I do keep an eye on all of the accounts for each instance. I have tried a few ways to get hold of Nick since January and had sent instructions a while ago on how to transfer the domain but despite multiple e-mails, twitter DM's and tags for some reason he hasn't got back to me but does appear to be active on Twitter still so I'm not sure if it's because of a 3rd party site being used to make the posts so replies are not being seen or if he's just done with the Mastodon side of things. Obviously if he does respond and transfer the domain I can either migrate before the end of the month or if push comes to shove I can renew the hosting another month and migrate it next month but being 100% honest I'm not expecting a reply at this stage. To answer the question asked earlier in the thread about us vs mastodon.social for the most part the experience should be similar, we do still have our local and federated timelines enabled whereas they aren't enabled on .social, we have a larger character limit on posts instead of the 500 Character default, the only other noticeable difference is .social runs nightly / bleeding edge versions of Mastodon whereas we run the stable versions. As long as you're able to migrate your followers / following relationships to any Mastodon / Fedi instance before med-mastodon is shut down you should have a similar ish experience on most the big servers and we collaborate with a few of the big servers and the Mastodon team where we can / it's sensible for us to do so.
