All of this &quot;but iran bad&quot; stuff ignores that american intervention after WW2 has literally never improved the human rights situation anywhere and that the endless war actually causes societies to regress because they develop a paranoia about foreign intervention and overall don&#39;t have the capacity to engage in actual internal emancipatory struggle that would change things for the better. The US took 20 years to first put the Taliban in power, then remove it again, and then let it back into power and now you trust them with Iran? How naive can you be.

@lizzy and the only reason in ww2 their intervention actually helped is because while they would have been very happy going buddy buddy with the nazis, they considered that bombing an already half dead regime in order to be seen as a hero by everyone else to be much more worthwhile for spreading their ideals than sticking up with them and being the next target. the united states of america is a country that excelled at faking being the good guy, and only now are other countries starting to realise it because they got a president that views the world like a 12 year old would, aka through an extremely simplified world view
