Unfortunately I’ve very definitely had this problem many times in my life. I really don’t like to assume someone’s interested in me unless it’s far beyond obvious.

but it’s in the context of husband and wife, not even dating. I can understand dating, but married? long term? what? damn I think it’s worse now, just boomer humor wife/husband bad. aw damn. I get the dating side of the joke.
