I am in the market for a new #ereader. Is there a recommendation from my fellow nerds here?
I have a #kindle that is 15 years old (literally!). So that one has no backlighting or anything. If I trade it in, I can get 20% off a new paperwhite from amazon which makes it a kind of nice price (~144€). But I wanted to consider other manufacturers. Is the #pocketbook era worth the extra price? Would be like 60€ extra. Any others I am missing?
Any input welcome.

@niq@fosstodon.org I've had a Kobo in the past, but now have a Kindle Paperwhite. I got rid of the Kobo as I kept coming across books that they didn't have available. Aside from that, it was just as good as the Kindle. If you're already in the ecosystem, I'd say go with the Kindle. I really like mine (although I do hate that we have to pay extra for an "ad free" version).

@niq Boox os an e-ink ereader will run both kobo and kindle apps, I love using it for travel, it’s the size of a phone. Basically it’s an android phone with e-ink display
