I want to tackle this somewhat, because it annoys the hell out of me. Firstly, the Aurignacians were the first anatomically modern humans (AMH) to settle in the area. Their culture or more accurately technocomplex lasted for roughly 14,000 years and gave us some amazing artefacts, including anatomically correct drawings and carvings, the first definite flutes and something more symbolic/folkloric like Löwenmensch. @cassana . That the people who are forever at war with the world try to claim having invented language when they can’t seem to use it. You’d think if language was the core of them there would be more talking and more science and a lot less war. 😠💜 . The lineage they are trying to establish and protect isn’t really the one that talks, is it?
