@futuresprog@mastodon.nzoss.nz @pistonblown@mastodon.nz I was walking my dog the other day and passed a very average house with a couple of National billboards on the fence. Someone was working in the garden as I passed so I said hi and then pointed to the billboards with a shrug. The woman looked embarrassed and said I know, my landlord insisted on putting them up. I am now wondering if that is even legal. #NZPol

@jeremy_pm@mastodon.nz @futuresprog@mastodon.nzoss.nz @pistonblown@mastodon.nz It depends on the area's bylaws. In some places, the occupant's consent is needed; in others, the landowner's is; and in others still, it's down to the one who 'maintains' the home (deliberately vague, imo).
