At work we have a remote server with some standard remote desktop solution running so we can access devices located behind a firewall. This desktop is used by many people. Sometimes, people minimize it and don't log out. These remote desktop solutions allow you to share your clipboard. You can copy files, copy text, and paste which is very convenient. When you have it minimized on your desktop, people forget it is running. Anything and everything you copy into your clipboard, is inadvertently shared with everyone else using the shared desktop. Tonight I was trying to paste files related to a new build I need to run, but unaware to me someone else was copying and pasting personal files at home. Several times this evening I ended up pasting their files instead of the build I wanted. Beware of what you copy-and-paste or cut-and-paste when you have remote desktop software running!
