Not sure if they’re everywhere, but around here you just go to the local farmer’s market and find the old hippy who makes soap. You buy the soaps you enjoy the smell of and use those. Basic ingredients that are much nicer on your skin, and usually last longer.
Bar soap works well for lather with shaving if you don’t use an electric raiser as well.
Haven’t found a good deoderant yet, all the ones that are better for the skin don’t seem to work well. At least, every person who’s told me about their healthier deodorant has smelled of bo.

Weirdly, I stopped shaving for the last 2 months to see if my beard will finally grow. Its working. That being said, yeah, Native Deo was ok, but did not last. I am concerned about BO, so yeah, this will take some doing. Not quite close to a Farmers Market, but I need to actually look through. I did however see bars of soap from Australia in Goodwill, but those seemed sketchy.

Also, soap and shampoo bars are the way to go instead of liquid versions - less plastic waste. If you’re concerned with dry/sensitive skin, try to find ones without SLS (Sodium lauryl sulphate), it’s a foaming agent used in loads of soap products, but it’s actually an irritant.
