As a non-coder there's something i've been wondering about. For some time i've been noticing “manager of free software project does something undesirable” issues. And in my head i always ask, why not just fork the project? If things are too difficult to fork, doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of them being free software? A piece of software that's too difficult to fork sounds to me no better than “source available” software. How do coders feel about this? #foss
