Not OP, but great question. A lot of discourse seems to imply that we should already know. Historically, there were groups that identified that way for very specific reasons (against European monarchy in Central America for instance). In the US, at least, these concepts are quite loosely defined, and I’d even argue, undefined.

    They’re vaguely defined by design in the US. It makes it easier to condemn an amorphous blob of vague ideas that ranges from centrist liberalism to anarchy than to actually have to engage in substantive arguments. Especially when all the existing structures that be fall in line to convince the masses of it. To me leftists begin at being anticapitalist. I ask the question because its hard to even really know what “leftist” would be on Rumble. That platform is 1) for pedophile Nazis and 2) botted to hell and back. You’re not getting through to people genuinely on Rumble - it’s the Twitter of streaming platforms (maybe second to Kick idk).
