— A 100-meter stream. Where does its water come from? — This dragonfly depends on a tiny forest stream that flows year-round. In limestone country, rain may seep underground, move through cracks, then surface again. To us it’s “just 100 meters.” But rain, forest, rock, groundwater, and springs connect. Adults can fly. Larvae can’t leave the stream. Open the blog toggle for English. https://fukumomo3-redlist.com/redlist-after-11-years-chlorogomphus-nakamurai/ #dragonfly #biodiversity
