This is, by far, the best book I've read that explains so well our current time and what can be done about it. I highly recommend, it was published firstly in 1946, under the title "Science, Liberty and Peace", and yet his analysis holds true till today. Do yourself a favor and get a copy, it is rather short and easy read, 86 pages.
