You can also just meet her where she is. The big strength of polyamory is that you don’t need one partner who can fulfil all your needs. What you have with Sylvia might be referred to as a “comet relationship”. They come around once every now and then, burns hot and bright for a short time and then they leave for a while. It’s not bad or good, it just is.
