#WritersCoffeeClub 2/21: "Share an unexpected critique you’ve received. Why did it surprise?" An acquaintance told me she admired the character Ardeija in one of my books. I was pleasantly surprised, but it was her reason for admiring him that pushed this into "very surprising (and very funny)" territory: What she admired him for was his ability to knit socks! 🧦 Among all reasons, stylistic or personal, to admire a fictional character, that one had never even crossed my mind.
