Someone recently said that, "the cloud is just a landlord for your data." If that's the case, then LLMs are like the company store that is leasing you the tools that you use to do your work.

@cross Yeah, I cannot fathom the thought processes behind going all-in on AI + The Cloud when our main products are supposed to be protected IP... that we suddenly want Amazon, Google, and Microsoft - famously rule-following and benevolent entities - to both _keep for us_, and _help us work on_, ...for money? You realize we were able to do this on wholly-owned hardware for basically the cost of electricity, but now the C-suites have _elected_ to pay monthly fees instead? Are they all stupid?
