According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu, cited by local media, the seagull has a wing injury that is currently preventing it from flying again. Although Gani Catan and his teammates at Istanbul Yurdum Spor ultimately failed in the penalty shootout, missing out on promotion to the higher division, the main thing was elsewhere. ‘We missed that goal, but helping to save a life is a good thing.
