Adventures are messy tiresome things. And they aren't always fun. And they take effort and money and planning. But they are so damn rewarding. I think that technology abstracts us from adventures. So instead of going out on a walk to go see the local river or trees you wind up getting sucked into travel videos. It's abstract. It's in a screen. You are passive, you aren't really doing much except consuming. You aren't walking or smelling, or creating new information you just exist. But it's easy.
