John Haywood is a #banjo player, tattoo artist, and painter from rural Kentucky, who left the hills for town life but returned when he realised "how much of a country boy I am". I first saw him in Mike Seegers seminal doc "Banjo Tales". John also was a teacher of Nora Brown. If you know Nora's versions of tunes like "Jay Gould's Daughter" (on Cinnamon Tree) it's fun to compare them with John's playing on his album "Upon My Word and Honor" #Banjofriday https://johnhaywood.bandcamp.com/album/nmas-012-upon-my-word-and-honor
