BA.3.2.* "Cicada" grew sharply to 32% in New York, tripling it’s frequency from the prior week.
A few other chains of local transmission appear to have started, in other north-eastern states.

Among children (0-17) in New York (state), BA.3.2.* was 11% (n=27), vs 1.4% among adults (n=14), so a ~8X higher rate among children. 🧵
