And here's more @avilewis@mstdn.ca. THIS is what the ABNDP should be reposing, NOT Danielle Smith: "Throwing billions in public money behind a pipeline at a time of climate breakdown – while sweeping aside environmental protections, meaningful Indigenous consultation and workers’ right to strike – is absolutely not in the national interest. This is just another gift to an oil industry already on track to make $100 billion in wartime profits this year alone. We pay, we take on the risk, and they reap the rewards." #abpoli #cdnpoli #ableg #solidarity #workersrights #union #climate #climatechange #climatecrisis #Environment #oil

Plus I'd also like to remark that Rachel Notley getting pipelines approved with Justin Trudeau is a different story from what is happening now. The reason Notley got pipelines approved is because she worked with the Federal government to ensure environmental regulation, where previous Conservative governments did not. I'm not a fan of pipelines, but I'd rather Notley did it with a modicum of care and responsibility, than a Conservative government who wants to bypass environmental regulation to pass pipelines. The latter, unfortunately, is what Mark Carney has done, bypassing environmental regulations and making direct concessions with Danielle Smith to pass "her" pipeline through a Memorandum of Understanding. Carney's pipeline is all about dismantling the current climate policies that were in place at the time. That shohld be indefensible to a party with principles. https://gasoutlook.com/analysis/canada-abandons-climate-policies-carney-supports-new-pipeline/ #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli #oil #energy #Environment #climate #climatechange #climatecrisis #solidarity

@ned@beige.party @avilewis@mstdn.ca The Alberta NDP (do they actually exist?) are pro-oil.
