Friday is the day I've been longing for since my medical and social transition began last year. I am officially filing to petition for a name change. It took me awhile to learn more what my identity really is, but it's time that I went with it. It took some reclamation because of my traumatic past, it took some self-reflection, personal growth and some hardships, but as time went on, I learned more about myself than I have in the many years I've been alive. This girl is ready to open another chapter that involves mostly shedding her old identity for one that is true to her. Not only that, but I picked a badass full legal name to file for. :D
