a winter prune for my Portulacaria afra (spekboom, elephant bush). this little plant had humble beginnings but it is slowly growing more convincing as a miniature tree. P. afra is a great choice for indoor bonsai, as long as you can provide enough light. they respond predictably to pruning; the wild plant is used to being eaten by elephants, so my little trims are no problem. it is also tolerant of inconsistent watering. #plants #succulents #houseplants #bonsai
