@irgndsondepp I saw something recently somewhere on a Signal forum, I think, (I use Signal on Graphene, Pixel 6a), saying that delays can arise if you have any kind of battery saver running. Or the specific app (Molly, in your case, I guess) doesn't have permissions to use as much power as it wants. Something like that. I'll try to see whether I can find it again.
