@luckytran@mastodon.social i would love to see the California attorney general try to stick apple with one count of CPC 631(a) violation per watch sold in the state, or perhaps one per person who can show they got near one not knowing it was recording. $2500 fine first offense and $10K subsequent is nothing for a big company but if you multiply it out by say half a million units sold in the state, suddenly you're talking real money ($10K fine * 500k counts is half a billion dollars if my mental math is right and that's just for one state)
