(12 miles North of Amsterdam )
He was a gifted architecture and designer early 20th C.
"Avoiding anything theatrical " , he made a career in Europe, soon after in the USSR .
Lived in Russia before WW2, came back after, not welcomed because of his Communist sympathies .
In several Russin cities still buildings standing,
