A major flash flood tore through the Grand Canyon Saturday, killing one person and leaving up to 15 unaccounted for.
A thunderstorm dropped ~1 inch of rain in just 30 minutes over Bright Angel Canyon, destroying nearly all footbridges over Bright Angel Creek and sweeping debris into the Colorado River. 62+ evacuated by air. The 2025 Dragon Bravo burn scar worsened the flooding.
