@Catha@masto.es I'm saying that there is nothing technically preventing these instant payments. It's just a decision. EU just didn't make that decision until now, letting banks collect more profits for something that is totally normal in so many "third-world" countries. Are we seriously celebrating catching up to Vietnam? Nigeria? India? It's just a decision, only hindered by corruption. I'm not going to give these wealthy powerful politicians any slack. Remember they passed chatcontrol.

@chebra@mstdn.io so you really think getting this done in a union of 27, countries, all with their own software etc. is just as easy as getting it done for 1 country on it's own? Then maybe think again...
