@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Just when paper banknotes will be slowly ditched for digital money. This is brilliant EU-style democracy in action. This reminds of the 2 last times my country offered a real democratic vote (i.e. referendum): one was about shortening the time for our elected king from 7 to 5 years (in 2000) and the other one was about the EU Constitution (in 2005), to which most of my fellow citizens voted ‘no’ but their choice has never been acknowledged. #democracy #eu #europe #politics
