ITN failed to defend the ableist comments of Jeremy Vine on his Channel 5 show, which they produce.
https://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/itn-fails-to-explain-why-channel-5s-jeremy-vine-does-not-push-back-on-false-claims-of-spiralling-welfare/?shem=isphe,
Disability News Service has a number of examples where he falsely claims welfare is spiraling out of control, and needs to be slashed.
Including where he specifically attacks those receiving DLA or PIP.
He also recently tried to gaslight his audience into thinking he was the real victim of the backlash to him hosting the Carers UK awards.

I still maintain that the collective IQ of the UK will jump three points when he's off the air forever. The man has no problem in acting like both sides have a valid point when it comes to things like genocide, war crimes, homophobia, racism, etc. But specifically on the issue of welfare, and particularly that received by disabled people, he seems to have a very real issue. He also doesn't care for improving public discourse on the subject. Why else would he book Carole Malone? #CancelVine
