The maintainer of the lib.rs curated crate repository on weathering the slopstorm: "I could try to fight AI with AI, except that performing AI code reviews of all the crates is going to boil an ocean and cost so much money that the x.com edgelord will be able to afford to build a second Mars from finely crushed orphans." Yes, the fight against slop is a real problem, for all package repos, but especially for curated ones. No, I don't have answers, I'm as powerless as anyone.
