I've had a Facebook account since around 2006 and I'm seriously starting to wonder about deleting it and everything connected to it. In the early days, it was a fun place to be - connecting to old friends and family. These days the experience is genuinely awful and this, combined with my continued apprehensions about big tech - particularly with the recent court rulings around Meta, are reminding me that while power is with the masses, nothing changes if we don't take individual responsibility I work in tech so I'm going to struggle to move away from all big tech and retain a meaningful career, but maybe something is better than nothing?
