Second reason was related to #geopolitics. Russian Rostelecom was a major indirect shareholder in #Jolla Ltd. This became a major liability with Russias full scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

In fact, #Jolla Ltd. nearly went bankrupt at the time. The founders of Jolla Ltd. had to create a new company, Jollyboys Ltd., and had to buy all of Jolla Ltd.'s stock to get rid of the Russian entanglements. 7/30
