wellakchualee, Nixon wanted something closer to Medicare for All, which is closer to Johnson’s vision. Nixon was forced, by the fascists & neoconfederates, into the Medicare/Medicaid/VA and employer based health insurance quagmire we are in. i truly believe his "Nixoncare" is what got him thrown out of the job by his own party, not Watergate. Nixoncare was so radical, (Mitt) Romneycare in Massachusetts and Obamacare are watered down versions of Nixon’s proposals. @continuity0@mastodon.social @paul_ipv6@infosec.exchange
