@lianna@micro.webgarden.click I've started looking at @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de specifically for software instead of GitHub or even general internet searches because they've shown with their recent banning of vibe code that they're *the* trustworthy platform.
I don't think it's contradictory to say "the underlying math and tech is cool, but there are no good current implementations of it." Neural networks are cool, but no one invested in genAI cares about anything other than scamming people.

@lianna@micro.webgarden.click I think @acegikmo@mastodon.social said it best in a comparison between technologies like writing, radio, and television vs genAI: the fundamental difference is that these other tools are about helping humans communicate while genAI is about trying to deceive people.
