I was seduced by the new macbook air m1's after I had moved into a smaller space. I was running manjaro with an openbox wm till then. Last summer someone asked me to transfer some old 78's to digital. I could have done it on the macbook but I didn't want to tie it up. I bought a used box with w10, monitor, keyboard and I splurged on a new mouse. When I was done, I boxed it up and put it in the corner of my closet. I dug it out awhile back out of boredom. I tried upgrading it to w11 and discovered it doesn't meet the req's. The advertising on w10 was annoying and with all the shit happening politically I decided to install linux and went distro hopping. The first thing I noticed was how linux had advanced, the second was a diminished repository of packages in distros. Maybe the shitty ones were weeded out? While hopping I started de-americanizing my internet services using Startpage, euronews, etc.. I'm installing Arch right now and imo it should be the official CanadianOS.
