@RonJeffries@mastodon.social @GeePawHill@mastodon.social I wrote a really REALLY good Eliza in BASIC for a science fair project in primary school. Everyone thought it completely passed the Turing Test. Folks would check behind my table for a human on another computer.
That was 1984.
