@aral@mastodon.ar.al I am in the process of switching my fediverse instance from vps to local if my internet provider switch is as good as I hope. Along with it we'll also have other things, nextcloud for example. My data will be truly 100% mine. The best I can do for other people data is say I will be as transparent and respectful as I can, but again, like you say, the only person one can really trust is themself. No matter how good my intentions are.
