Any Fairphone (or other non Android/iOS phone) users out there who also use Starling Bank and Halifax/Lloyds Bank? Which phone and OS are you using, please? I want to switch my phone away from Android but still need to access banking for me and Mum. Thank you. Edit because some text got missed off. #FairPhone #StarlingBank

@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social I've got a Fairphone 5 with Android with all the Google apps and stuff so I suspect I can't help much. This thread suggests /e/os will be ok for Starling Bank: https://community.e.foundation/t/getting-banking-apps-starling-bank-to-work/71865/14

@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social I have a Fairphone 6 with /e/OS (recommended! Google free) and all my banking apps work fine (Netherlands) but contactless payments with the phone (in shops etc.) don't work. I' ve tried it with Curve: it works, but not always.
