I was not alone predicting Google want to kill traditional search. Today marks a zombie lunge toward that goal for those that have no GG account (a lot of people*): https://searchenginewatch.com/google-tests-ai-focused-homepage-for-signed-out-users/ It's almost like they need to manufacture demand for their super-unprofitable AI product to force the hand of nervous investors. *I don't have a GG account, but don't use their SE.
