still not answering directly to your original poll
but you can use DSP parametric filters for equalisation, verify a lot of parameters of music files and have full control of both local and streaming sources and players

@bensar@mastodon.uno This software is new to me. It seems to be a full-fledged entertainment center that offers a wide range of features. It’s really very modern. The various players mentioned throughout the discussion show just how many different solutions there are—from totally minimalist setups to full-fledged media centers with connections to internet services. It’s all there. I find it really exciting. Thanks for sharing.
