I think I bought my 2022 Kia Niro EV at the perfect time:
--Full EV w/most modern bells & whistles like dashboard touchscreen, CarPlay, rear camera, lane assist, etc etc.
HOWEVER...
--It *doesn't* include this sort of dystopian bullshit which seemed to become ubiquitous a year or so later.

I've also never updated the software on the car, and I don't *think* they added over-the-air updates until the following year, so hopefully it won't be updated against my will. I honestly don't even know what the software updates accomplish anyway...I've driven it 26,000 miles w/out needing that...
